Amsterdam campaigns on dangers of killer cocaine
“Beware of drug dealers, they’re selling killer cocaine.” That is the gist of the message that’s lit up on bill boards around the main streets of Amsterdam. The aim is to warn tourists, who are expected in droves during the holiday season, seeing as an increasing number of visitors are ending up in hospital after taking cocaine cut with heroin. The Dutch authorities have taken the matter seriously enough to even ensure that some specialty stores are offering consumers special testing kits to check the quality of drugs purchased. These are just some of the initiatives that are part of an unprecedented public awareness campaign against the dangers of the white powder.
