The Amsterdam Concertgebouw is one of the world’s most renowned concert venues, acclaimed for its excellent acoustics. The building was completed in 1888 and for well over a century it has been the centre of classical music in the Netherlands. In 2004 attendance reached 833.000 visitors, making the Concertgebouw the world’s most well-attended concert venue. Up-to-date concert information cab be found on our website. From the first of September 2005 your ticket for a concert in the Concertgebouw will also be valid for traveling by local public transport services (tram, bus or subway) offered by the GVB in Amsterdam. The Concertgebouw is the first cultural institution to start this unique collaboration. The ticket is valid 3 hours before and 4 hours after starting time of the concert, and for evening concerts the ticket will be valid until the last ride (excluding the night bus). Please note that general terms and conditions for public transport apply for all GVB services
