Originally built in 1921 by a Polish Jewish immigrant, this art deco cinema is a fantastic building and is situated between the Rembrandt and Muntplein. In 1998 a full restoration of the building commenced which has resulted in the closure of some of the more decrepit theatres and the modernization of the better ones. The main theatre now has 800 luxurious seats and there is a VIP balcony where champagne is served.
