Near the Westerkerk (Westerchurch), in the center of Amsterdam, you can find the hiding place where Anne Frank wrote her famous diary. The Diary of Anne Frank is one of the most widely read books in the world. The original diary is on display as part of the Anne Frank House permanent exhibition. The museum is very busy during the season, so be prepared to wait in the queue.
