The Allard Pierson Museum is the archeological museum of the University of Amsterdam. Egyptology, Greek Mythology, Etruria, and Roman artifacts are exhibited in this museum of Mediterranean culture. The collections, dating from 4000 B.C. till 500 A.D., give visitors a comprehensive insight into life in Antiquity Opening hours: Tuesday - Friday: 10.00 am - 05.00 pm Saturday - Sunday and holidays: 01.00 pm - 05.00 pm. Closed the following dates: Mondays, Sundays, New Year's Day, Easter, King's Day (March 27), and Christmas Day.
